WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) — Choate-Rosemary Hall has hired an attorney to look into allegations of sexual misconduct by faculty at the school in the early 1990s.
The New Haven Register reports the private school said in a memo last week that the investigation is expected to take several months.
The school said a woman who graduated in 1992 has made it aware that two former faculty members had improper relationships with her. The school said both faculty members left the school in the early 1990s.
The Boston Globe reported earlier this month in a story on prep schools’ handling of faculty misconduct that a French teacher had a sexual relationship with the student and was forced to resign, but ultimately received a letter of recommendation for a position at another school.
