NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) – A Norwich man who’d been accused of having sex and exchanging explicit photos with a 14-year-old girl has agreed to a plea deal
that will keep him out of prison.
The Norwich Bulletin reports that 29-year-old Jesus Busanet pleaded guilty on Wednesday in New London Superior Court to a reduced charge of risk of injury to a minor.
Busanet faces five years’ probation when he is sentenced Dec. 14.
Prosecutors say Busanet met the girl on social media in January and eventually met her at her home where he talked her into having sex.
Busanet says the girl said she was 18.
Busanet was listed in a court document as a married father of four at the time of his April 16 arrest.
