Torrington Official Arrested

(TORRINGTON,Conn./CBS Connecticut)  –  The Superintendent of Streets in  Torrington has been arrested on a larceny charge.60 year old Robert Lizotte of Bethlehem  is accused of  being involved in the  sale and theft of  city-owned property.

Torrington  Police received a complaint in August  that members of the Department of Public Works  were stealing  city-owned property.

Lizotte is  free on a $2,500  court set bond. He is  scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior Court October 24.

The investigation is continuing.
