NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – A motorcyclist killed in a crash in New Haven over the weekend has been identified and police say they’re searching for the driver of a sport utility vehicle involved in the wreck who took off without stopping.
Police say 31-year-old Garry Gulledge of Watertown died at a hospital following the early Saturday crash.
An autopsy determined Gulledge died from blunt impact injuries of the neck and torso.
Witnesses told police they saw an SUV speeding away from the scene. Police say a passenger side rocker panel on the SUV is missing.
Police say officers at the scene reported seeing the motorcyclist performing a “wheelie” about eight blocks away from the crash site.
