Man Charged In Auto, Credit Card Theft

(South Windsor, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – South Windsor police are charging a Hartford man in connection with the theft of a car in town along with the illegal use of a credit card this summer.

On Wednesday, officers picked up 18-year-old Luis Rodriguez.

Police say the charges stem from the theft of a local resident’s vehicle.

Detectives also say they tracked the use of a credit card that was in the vehicle.

It was while being interviewed that police say Rodriguez admitted being part of a group of youths driving around local towns looking for keys and fobs within parked cars.

Rodriguez is facing charges of conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit larceny and illegel use of a credit card.

Bond was set at $25,000.
