Winter Storm Warnings Overnight Into Wednesday: Litchfield, Hartford, Tolland, Windham Counties Read More

ANSONIA, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Ansonia police have arrested two local teenagers in connection with social media posts threatening violence at local schools Wednesday.

Police say the suspects, both 13-year-old females, face charges including threatening and breach of peace.

Police say an Instagram post was titled “Ansonia_clown,” but they don’t believe the situation is linked to the rash of clown-related social media posts elsewhere.

Authorities say there will still be an increased police presence at local schools Wednesday.
