(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Hartford police have shut down a trio of city bodegas.
It comes on the heels reports illegal prescription drug sales had been conducted in all three establishments during regular business hours.
On Tuesday, the department’s vice and narcotics units conducted mulitple search warrants at Los Cubanitos, Salcedo Grocery and Jordi Grocery.
Police say over the last several months, detectives conducted controlled purchases in as part of an ongoing investigation.
Detectives confiscated over 600 prescription pills and $1,743 in cash.
Police say they arrested three people in connection with the case.
