CT Revenue Department Denies Trump’s Leaked Tax Return Came From Them

HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Connecticut’s Department of Revenue Services Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan has stated he is confident that the information leaked this weekend about Donald Trump’s tax return did not come from his department.

“We have quickly conducted an internal review… and we are comfortable that there has been nothing inappropriate done by anybody at the Department of Revenue Services in terms of this information getting out.”

On Saturday, October 1, the New York Times reported on documents they had obtained including information from the Republican Presidential candidate’s 1995 income tax returns.

To date, Trump has not volunteered to release his tax returns to the public, citing an IRS audit as the reason.  Trump is the first GOP Presidential candidate not to release his tax returns since Gerald Ford ran in 1976.
