It may or may not have been the most significant presidential debate in living memory, but it certainly was the most touted presidential debate in “Click Nation USA.” What were your general impressions?
Peter Brookes, senior fellow for national security affairs, helps develop and communicate The Heritage Foundation’s stance on foreign and defense policy through his research and writing, media and public appearances, and congressional testimony. The Department of Defense will dispatch 615 more U.S. troops to Iraq to help government forces oust ISIS from the city of Mosul. The troops, who will deploy in the coming weeks, will have a supporting role, helping with logistics and providing advice to Iraqi forces. There are currently 4,647 U.S. soldiers in Iraq. This is the second time this year the U.S. has sent more troops.
