(West Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Five juveniles and two adults are under arrest in West Hartford after an investigation into motor vehicle burglaries morphed into a drug probe.
On Thursday, police say they were looking into nearly two dozen vehicle break-ins when they witnessed a drug transaction during a home surveillance.
They picked up the suspected dealer, 21-year-old Quinton Prince of Hartford, who they say was in possession of illegal narcotics.
Police also confiscated stolen items and drugs from the home where Prince was arrested.
In addition, 18-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez was arrested.
Both men face multiple drug, burglary and larceny charges. Their bonds were set at $10,000 apiece.
Four other juveniles were also arrested in connection with the burglary investigation.
