(Windsor Locks, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Police in Windsor Locks would like the public’s help in trying to find a bank robber.

They say a little before 1:00 p.m. today, a man entered a United Bank branch at 20 Main Street in town and handed a teller a note demanding cash.

According to police, the suspect opened his vest implying a weapon but never actually showing one.

The robber is a black male, about 5-foot-8, 220-240 pounds.  He was wearing a ball cap, tinted sunglasses, a white t-shirt, and a blue vests.

He had a scruffy beard and long hair.

Police say the suspect made off with about $2,900.

The getaway vehicle is described as an older model 2000s Toyota.
