BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Bloomfield police say a 66-year-old Windsor woman was injured when her car drifted into oncoming traffic on Blue Hills Avenue and struck a school bus.
Police say the crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection with Famstead Circle. None of the 13 middle school students on the bus from Windsor were hurt. The woman, who was driving a Honda Civic northbound, was taken to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford with “moderate” injuries, according to police.
The students were reunited with their parents and guardians at Bloomfield Public Schools offices at 1133 Blue Hills Avenue.
The crash remains under investigation.
