BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) – Police in Connecticut say a woman was injured when she lost control of the motorcycle she was operating, went through a fence and plummeted into a river.
The Hartford Courant reports (http://cour.at/2cE9nSY) the crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. Monday at an intersection in Bristol.
Police say the woman was turning right into a city parking lot at the corner of School
and West streets when she lost control of the motorcycle and struck a curb. She then struck a fence along the riverbank, burst through it and fell 8-10 feet into the Pequabuck River.
The woman was pulled from the river bank. Police say she was alert and conscious after being rescued. She was taken to a nearby hospital.
