On the heels of President Obama’s Asia trip and the anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) founding, North Korea has detonated its fifth nuclear bomb, claiming to have miniaturized nuclear warheads to fit on a ballistic missile. Twice as large as the previous one, the test triggered a 5.3 magnitude earthquake.
