Middletown Police ID Man Killed In Crash

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut AP) – Police have identified the drivers involved in a deadly crash in Middletown that claimed the life of man and injured two others.

The three-vehicle accident happened just before 7 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Newfield Street and Fisher Road.

Investigators say the initial collision occurred when a Honda Pilot driven by Sandra Fuller, 53, of Middletown rear-ended an idle Toyota Camry driven by William Fetter, 67, of Middletown, attempting to make a left turn onto Fisher Road. The Toyota spun out into Newfield Street, where it was then struck by a Volkswagen Passat driven by James Liverman, 58, of Middletown.

Police say Fetter was pronounced dead at the scene. Fuller and Liverman were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries.
