(Wolcott, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Two Naugatuck women have been charged in an early morning home burglary in Wolcott.
Around 6:00 a.m., police were notified by the residents of noises within the home.
Officers say the husband told his wife to take their young son to their car and dial 911.
The husband later found 19-year-old Vanessa Alvarado hiding in a shower, according to police.
They say Alvardo handed the man a bag of valuables and fled in a waiting car containing 19-year-old Tayler Grant.
The Two were later stopped by police who day Alvarado, the driver, was having difficulty driving the standard transmission getaway vehicle.
Both are facing burglary, larceny and conspiracy charges. Bonds were set at $100,000.
In addition, police say the getaway car had been stolen out of Naugatuck.
