BRISTOL, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Bristol police say a 50-year-old man was run over by his own vehicle late Tuesday morning near Bristol Hospital.
Officers were called to the entrance of the hospital at 41 Brewster Road shortly before 11:30 a.m. to find a man suffering from serious hip and leg injuries, said police. Authorities say he had fallen out of his truck and was run over by the vehicle.
The man was first treated at the Bristol Hospital emergency room, and later transferred to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford for further treatment.
The name of the victim was not immediately available.
