Three Charged With Trying To Break Into Car In Manchester

MANCHESTER, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Manchester police have charged two men and a juvenile in connection with an attempted car break-in early Thursday.

A local resident heard a blaring car alarm in the area of Ridge and Arch Streets around 1:30 a.m. and called police, authorities said. Despite trying to flee on foot in different directions, Dwight Henry, 18, of Hartford; Luis Miguel Rivera, 24, of Hartford, and a 16-year-old boy from Manchester were arrested, said police.

The three face charges of first-degree criminal trespass, breach of peace, interfering with police, criminal liability for the act of another and sixth-degree attempted larceny.

Police say there’s been a string of vehicle burglaries in the area recently, but it’s too soon to tell if the three suspects were involved.

Rivera and Henry are due in Manchester Superior Court on September 15. The juvenile was issued a summons and released into his mother’s custody.
