Hartford Rally: Billy Graham’s Son Urges Christians To Vote

(CBS Connecticut) — Speaking on the lawn of the state capitol today, the son of evangelist Billy Graham urged a gathering of Christians to pray and to vote in November.

Franklin Graham says the only hope is almighty God.

“I have no hope in the Democratic Party. Zero hope, okay?” Graham said. “Before you Republicans start high-fiving each other, I have zero hope in the Republican Party.”

Graham avoided specifically endorsing a candidate.

Graham is speaking in all 50 states ahead of the November 8 election.

He warned his audience of the dangers of communism, secularism, and the ACLU.

There were varying levels of enthusiasm in the crowd about voting for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.  Some people were excitedly looking forward to voting for Trump, other people said they were disappointed in the choice between Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Graham asked the crowd to confess the nation’s sins, and they did so all speaking at once.

Addressing people who don’t like either major party presidential candidate, Graham said Christians should consider the Supreme Court justices each candidate would appoint.

“It’s not just voting for them, but it is voting for the party behind them.  What do they stand for? What are their principles? What is their running mate like?” Graham said.

Graham says the moral and political walls of the country are crumbling.  He said abortion, same-sex marriage, and sex in the entertainment industry are all sins.
