NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – Two men have been slain in a late-night shooting in New Haven.
Officers responding to 911 calls at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday about a shooting found the victims on Dewitt Street.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say 24-year-old Dyshant Levi McLean was pronounced dead on scene.
The other victim, suffering from several gunshot wounds, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he died about an hour later. He was identified as 36-year-old Tyree McCrea.
Police think the victims were targeted and that the shootings were not random.
