NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – A Connecticut man has been sentenced to prison for federal assault and narcotics offenses.
U.S. Attorney Deirdre Daly says 29-year-old Christopher Graham was sentenced Wednesday to 66 months behind bars followed by five years of probation. Graham pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to assault in aid of racketeering and possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Prosecutors say the New Haven resident was a member of a local street gang in 2014. They say he violently assaulted someone in December 2014 over a stolen pistol as part of his gang membership.
They say he also distributed crack cocaine on multiple occasions between October 2014 and December 2014.
Graham has been detained since his arrest on October 6, 2015.
