Two Indicted On Charges Of Sex Trafficking A Minor

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Two Connecticut residents are facing charges related to the sex trafficking of a minor.

Connecticut U.S. Attorney Deirdre Daly announced Monday that a federal grand jury in New Haven returned indictments against 32-year-old Darryl Morris and 26-year-old Neshaya Dozier. They are each charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a minor and sex trafficking of a minor. Morris is also charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion.

The Bridgeport residents were arrested last week and remain in custody. It’s unclear if they have lawyers who could comment on the charges.

Prosecutors say Morris and Dozier conspired to recruit, harbor and transport a minor to engage in commercial acts between November 2014 and May 2016.

The indictment was returned Aug. 9.
