Non-lethal Training Firearms Stolen From State Police Firearms Training Unit

(CBS Connecticut) — The State Police firearms training unit in Simsbury was burglarized.

State Trooper Kelly Grant says training firearms that shoot paint balls were stolen.

“Forced entry was made through the second floor office door,” Grant said. “During the course of that burglary eleven Simunition firearms and magazines were taken from the building.”

Simsbury Police responded to a burglar alarm Friday night, but they did not realize that anything had been taken.

Monday morning, troopers who work in the training unit realized that the non-lethal handgun-style firearms had been taken.
