‘The Taz Show’ Set To Air Sunday Night After Major WWE Event

Bryan Altman, CBS Local Sports

Immediately following the WWE’s marquee event of the summer, one of the wrestling world’s most popular former wrestlers and one of the biggest wrestling podcast personalities in the world will take center stage for a special three-hour live show to break down all of the action from the big event.

A special edition of the “The Taz Show: Bodyslams and Beyond”, starring Taz himself, will air live Sunday night from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET on CBS Sports Radio, the nation’s largest 24/7 major-market sports radio network, as well as on multiple marquee CBS Radio sports stations, including:

Sports Radio 660 and 101.9 The Fan in New York.

670 The Score in Chicago.

105.3 The Fan in the Dallas/Fort-Worth area.

106.7 The Fan in Washington, D.C.

Sportsradio 94WIP in Philadelphia.

98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston.

Along with three other major wrestling events, the WWE’s summer event – taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York – is one of the WWE’s biggest events of the year. This year, however, the fight card for their summer event on Sunday night is arguably the best of the bunch and should make for a wild night of wrestling.

The main event features former WWE World Champion and UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar taking on Randy Orton in Lesnar’s first pay-per-view event back with the organization since defeating Mark Hunt in a heavyweight tilt at UFC 200.

Other notables on the card are:

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor for the WWE Universal Championship belt.

Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler for the World Championship belt.

Roman Reigns vs. Rusev for the United States Championship belt.

John Cena vs. A.J. Styles.

Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship belt.

Needless to say, there will be plenty to be discussed after these bouts and others conclude and Taz will be live across the country breaking down all of the action.

Taz wrestled professionally for years in the WWE, ECW and TNA and hosts “The Taz Show: Bodyslams and Beyond” live on CBS Radio’s Play.it podcast network each weekday morning from 7-9 a.m. ET.

Full episodes of the show are also available on demand immediately following the live shows and the live special on Sunday night will be no different.

You can watch the entire live show to get the complete breakdown of all the action early Monday morning at TazShow.com.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for a championship for any of his other three teams.
