2 Parks Closed To Swimmers

(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection reports two of it’s swimming areas are closed today.

DEEP says Lake Waramaug State Park in Kent and Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury are closed to swimming.

The department says both areas are experiencing higher than normal bacteria levels in the water.

Water in both parks will be re-tested before swimming is allowed again.

All other state swimming areas remain open.
