School Orchestra Provides Hold Music For Greenwich Town Hall

GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) — Callers who are put on hold at Greenwich Town Hall can now enjoy some Mozart, complements of the high school’s string ensemble.

The collaboration emerged out of a search for alternatives after the music that came with a new phone system was met with negative reviews, with some calling it canned and distorted.

The town’s information technology director, Tom Klein, reached out to Greenwich High School Orchestra Director Bethany Fuscaldo with the idea of using one of their performances.

The recording was made during a March concert at the school’s new performing arts center.

Fuscaldo says she is thrilled for the students’ work to have such exposure in the town.
