NEWINGTON, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Newington police have charged a local man with sexually assaulting a child. Police say James Chapman, 38, sexually assaulted a juvenile at two different locations in town over a period of years.
Chapman was arrested Tuesday on five counts of first-degree sexual assault and four counts of risk of injury to a minor, said police.
Police say Chapman posted $250,000 court-set bond, and was due to be arraigned Wednesday at New Britain Superior Court.
Police did not release any other details about the crimes Chapman allegedly committed.
