Union: Lockout Ending At HDI

MANCHESTER, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – The Teamsters Union says the nine-week lockout affecting more than 100 warehouse workers and truck drivers at Hartford Distributors is coming to an end. Union Local 1035 says workers will begin returning to the job at the beer distributorship Wednesday night.

The union says members are returning under the term’s of management’s latest proposal, with negotiations on several key items, including benefits, set to resume.

The lockout ends six years to the day that disgruntled beer truck driver Omar Thornton shot and killed eight people at the business, before taking his own life.
