Body Discovered In Connecticut River; No Foul Play Suspected

WINDSOR, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Windsor police are investigating the discovery of a body in the Connecticut River Friday morning. Police were called to the East Barber St. boat launch just after 8 a.m., and recovered the body– that of an adult male– from a sand bar just north of the launch.

No foul play is suspected in the man’s death, said police. Investigators are working with authorities in Massachusetts to positively identify the body. They say it appears to be a case of suicide, though the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the manner and cause of death.
