Two Facing Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

(Willington, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Two New York men are being charged in Connecticut with a host of drug offenses.

Troopers were conducting enforcement along Interstate 84 in Willington Friday when they clocked a vehicle traveling at 84 miles per hour in right lane.

The vehicle driven by 28-year-old Jonathan Dixon of Saugerties, New York was pulled over and troopers say the notice a smell of marijuana from within the vehicle.

Their search turned up four pounds of suspected pot in shopping bags as well as of $67,000.

Dixon faces possession of marijuana, possess with intent to sell, conspiracy, and speeding. a passenger, 28-year-old Morgan Mark of Kingston, New York is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Both are being held on a $500,000 bond apiece and are due in court in Rockville Monday.,..
