(Bristol, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Bristol police are charging a woman after they say her two-year-old daughter was found wandering the streets alone around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the little girl was found in the area of Pine and Emmett Streets.
The mother, 31-year-old Marie Collin faces charges of risk of injury to a minor.
Police say when she showed up at the scene, Collin gave conflicting accounts as to who was watching the girl. Officers determined the toddlers care was ultimately Collins’ responsibility.
The child was not injured.
Collin is free on a $25,000 bond and is due in court in Bristol February 16.
