(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – There’s been an arrest in the stabbing death of a West Hartford man shortly after midnight on New Year’s Day.

Tequile Walwyn is charged with murder.  The 19-year-old Hartford resident turned himself in to police late this morning, after finding out that police were looking to arrest him.

Walwyn is due in court tomorrow

Twenty-year-old Jonathan Douglin became the first homicide victim in the Capital City when he was stabbed outside the Eighty Six Skate Shop on Francis Avenue.

Douglin was found with a stab wound to the abdomen-chest area and later died at Hartford Hospital.
