(Glastonbury,Conn./CBS Connecticut) – An accident on Route 2 in Glastonbury that tied up morning commuter traffic was a fatal.

State Police say a teenager lost control of the 1999 Honda Accord he was driving and struck a tree near Exit 5D west bound around 5:30 a.m. He is identified as 18 year old Erik Brandon Blades of East Hartford.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident comes just over a week after two Southington teens were killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 84.
