Police Probe Burger King Robbery

(Southington, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Police in Southington are investigating after they say a Burger King in town was the target of an armed robbery overnight.

Just after midnight, police responded to the restaurant at 1850 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike.

Officers say three or four males entered the rear of the store after an employee took out the garbage.

During the robbery, one of the suspects was reported to have pulled an unknown-type caliber handgun, hitting an employee over the head and causing injury.

The suspects, believed to be Hispanic, took off in a vehicle, possibly a silver Acura with tinted windows.

There’s no word on the amount of money taken.
