ACLU-CT Director Takes New Position

(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut is moving on.

Andrew Schneider is resigning effective September 30.

In a press release, the ACLU says Schneider has taken a position as executive director of Fairness West Virginia, that state’s leading advocate for LGBT rights.

Prior to coming to Connecticut, Schneider served as executive director of the West Virginia ACLU.

Schneider worked as ACLU Connecticut development director prior to being named executive director.

The ACLU-CT will conduct a nationwide search for Schneider’s successor.
