Former President Coming To Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ Former President Bill Clinton is coming to Connecticut to help raise money for the state’s Democratic Party.

Jonathan Harris, the party’s executive director, announced in an email sent Thursday night to supporters that the former president will appear for a rally on Sept. 2 at the

Omni New Haven Hotel. He will be joined by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, who are seeking re-election in November.

U.S. Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy are also scheduled to be on hand for the 11:30 a.m. event.

The email included a link that allows attendees to purchase tickets online at $50 each. A disclaimer at the bottom of the ticket order form said the funds raised from the event will be used “in connection with federal elections.”
