Toddler Left Alone In Bar Parking Lot Overnight

(Bristol, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – In Bristol, police are charging a woman after they say she left her two-year-old daughter in a car while she drank at a city nightspot Friday.

Officers say they were dispatched just before midnignt to City Sports on Farmington Avenue on a report of an intoxicated female.

Twenty-two-year-old Kelsey James was transported to Bristol Hospital.

Several hours later, just before 5:30 a.m, police were called again.

This time, they say James, who had sobered up, was inquiring about her young daughter.

Officers returned to city sports and spotted James’ vehicle, the little one sleeping in a car seat.

James now faces charges of risk of injury and leaving a child unsupervised in a motor vehicle.

She’s posted $50,000 bond and is due in court September 2.
