(CBS Connecticut) –– Connecticut’s George Springer is having a breakout rookie season with the Houston Astros, and Friday at Fenway, he talked with WTIC’s Joe D’Ambrosio.

Springer, currently on the disabled list with a strained quad, played for Avon-Old Farms and for the University of Connecticut before joining the Astros.  He has 20 home runs and was American League Rookie of the Month for May.
