Man Dead In Willington Crash

(Willington, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State police are investigating a friday night crash that left one man dead in Willington.

They say it happened a little after eight p.m.

Sixty-year-old Roger Schofield of Willington was driving west on Kuoko Road near the Village Hill Road intersection in town.

Investigators say Scholfield somehow lost control of the vehicle; the roadway curves left along that stretch.

Troopers say Schofield first hit a tree and then a stonewall in the shoulder of the road.

He was rushed by Life Star chopper to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
