Plymouth Schools Super Charged, Suspended

PLYMOUTH, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ Plymouth’s Board of Education has told its school superintendent not to return to work until they can discuss her larceny arrest.

Eleanor Cruz, 63, of 85 River Road in Essex, was charged Thursday morning by State Police with first-degree larceny following a lengthy investigation that she misused Town of Hebron funds when she served as that town’s school superintendent.

Multiple reports say the Plymouth Board of Ed. will meet next Wednesday, Aug. 13, to discuss what actions to take.

Cruz came to Plymouth in Dec. 2012 after spending seven years leading the Hebron school system.
