(CBS Connecticut) — The Connecticut Department of Housing is taking applications from low income state residents for assistance in securing affordable housing.

These applications are being offered to Connecticut residents who may need help with their housing coats.

Housing Commissioner Yvonne Klein says residents have until 5:00 p.m. on August 18th to apply to be assistance to be included in a state-wide lottery to determine who will get on the waiting list to receive assistance.
