(CBS Connecticut) — On 08/05/14, at 3:30 p.m., accused Alexandra Aucapina turned herself in to State Police Detectives at Troop A in Southbury for an outstanding arrest warrant for several counts of child abuse that occurred within her home, the children being the victims of varying levels of abuse.
The criminal investigation stems from a DCF referral in February 2014. The criminal case was initially investigated by the New Fairfield Resident Trooper and an arrest was made pursuant to the initial report of child abuse by DCF.
The children were removed from the home by DCF and additional interviews and investigation were conducted. State Police Detectives obtained a search and seizure warrant from Superior Court. The warrant was executed on Aucapina’s home by State Police Detectives.
As a result of facts and evidence determined in this criminal investigation, State Police Detectives submitted an arrest warrant application to Superior Court for the arrest of the accused in this case.

CHARGES: five (5) counts of C.G.S. 53-21(1) Risk of Injury to a Minor,
one (1) count of C.G.S. 53-60 Assault 2nd Degree,
two (2) counts of C.G.S. 53a-63 Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree,
two (2) counts of C.G.S. 53a-95 Unlawful Restraint 1st Degree,
two (2) counts of C.G.S. 53-20 (b)(1) Cruelty to a Child.
Accused Aucapina was processed and released on a $25,000 court-set bond. She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court GA #3 in Danbury on 08/06/14.
