Fire Damages Cabins At Kent Resort

(CBS Connecticut) — A fire broke out at a Western Connecticut resort today.

“Two cabins were heavily damaged in a structure fire at Club Getaway located in Kent Connecticut this morning,” Club Getaway Business Manger Claire Sorrels said in a written statement. “Guests were quickly evacuated by staff when the fire was reported.”

 

The club said the people staying in the cabins were evaluated by medical personnel and released.

The fire marshal’s office is investigating.

Club Getaway offers campus, sports, adventure programs, weddings and corporate events.
