State Police Probe Home Invasion

(Columbia, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State police are investigating an early morning home invasion in the town of Columbia.

They say they received a 911 call just after two a.m. to a home on Oakwood Lane.

Police say the caller was hiding in a bathroom and reported two suspects with weapons inside.

The victim sustained a non life-threatening injury after being assaulted, according to investigators.

He was treated at the scene, transported to an area hospital for further treatment, and then released.

The suspects are male.  One is described as being about five-foot-five, wearing dark clothing and a dark knit cap, carrying a gun.

The other suspect is about five-foot-nine, clad in dark clothing and carrying a long gun.
