(Glastonbury, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Glastonbury police have a man in custody after they say he threatened officers Wednesday during a welfare check.
Police were dispatched to the home on matson hill road to check on Michael Murphy.
They say Murphy was distraught and appeared intoxicated.
They also say officers were threatened by Murphy with a firearm.
He fled the scene shortly thereafter.
Then today, police obtained a warrant for the 38-year-old.
They surrounded the home and Murphy was taken into custody without incident.
He’s facing over a half dozen charges including criminal attempt to commit assault with a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a firearm under the influence, and risk of injury.
Bond has been set at $450,000.
