Fire Displaces Five Hartford Families

HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ Nine people across five families are out of a home this morning after a fire at their 359 Wethersfield Ave. apartment building overnight.

It broke out on each of the porches of the three-story Hartford building around 1:49 a.m. and was under control by 2:13 a.m.

One of the six apartments in the building was vacant. No one was injured, but the fire did extend into homes on the second and third floor.

The Fire Marshall is on scene investigating the cause.
