(CBS Connecticut) — A $35 million dollar renovation project is underway at Hartford’s XL Center, now through September. Work started this month on removal of an east side concourse wall, the current media and message center and slome lower level seating, to make room for a new “interactive fan bar.”
Global Spectrum is selling the seats, in pairs, on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 1-(860) 541-4723 or visit their website for more information.
The company says crews from 36 Connecticut companies are working 2 shifts and on Saturday to complete most of the work in time for fall events.
The first opportunities to view the newly renovated XL Center will be on October 8 for the Boston Celtics – New York Knicks pre-season game, October 18 for the Hartford Wolf Pack Home Opener, November 5 for the inaugural Hockey East division games with UConn Men’s Ice Hockey vs. Boston College, and to be determined UConn Men’s and Women’s Basketball games.
