Newington Man Charged In Pizza Burglaries

A Newington resident is accused of breaking into a half a dozen businesses in town, mostly restaurants that sell pizza.

Ismael Medina Delgado is also accused of breaking into a home.

Police say they used forensic evidence from the crime scenes to link the burglaries, and to identify Medina Delgado.

The burglaries took place between September 2013 and December 2013.

The locations broken into include Newington Pizza, Empire Pizza, Cavo’s Tavern and Pizzeria, Yanni’s Pizza Restaurant, and the Sloppy Waffle. The business J.E. McLaughlin was also burglarized.
