HARTFORD (CBS Connecticut) – Hartford police have charged WWE wrestling Diva Emma with shoplifting.

Police say Tenille Dashwood was shoplifting at a Wal-Mart store. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

The Hartford Courant reports that Dashwood was in community court yesterday and was ordered to perform community service.  Her lawyer told the paper that her charge will be dismissed after she performs the community service.

Hubert Santos, Dashwood’s attorney, said that her client made a mistake.  Dashwood claims she was using a self-checkout machine paying for about $30 worth of items but forgot to pay for an iPad case valued at $21.14.

The WWE initially was going to release Dashwood but have decided to reinstate her being she “will take appropriate punitive action for her violation of the law.”
