(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) - A forum is being held tonight on the proposed Rock Cats stadium for Hartford.

Several issues are tied to the deal announced back on June 4.

Chief among them: bonding $60 million to pay for the project.

Some city councilors have backtracked, saying they’d like to seek at least some private financing.

In addition, the council as a whole still needs to approve the plan.

There are also questions surrounding claims the nine-thousand seat ballpark would be ready in time for opening day 2016.

Officials have said the stadium would be part of an overall revitalization of the area known as Downtown North along Main Street.

Tonight’s forum starts at six p.m. from Hartford Public Library.

there’s also a public hearing set for july 21.
